Please come and join us at our boutique kitchen and shop in Ilkley where we have a wide selection of cake decorating and chocolate classes now available. Whether you are a beginner or just want to expand your skills we have a range of classes available. Classes are run from our little shop, hosting just 4 students per chocolate class and 5 students per cake decorating class. All the materials, aprons and edibles are provided for you during the classes. Drinks will be provided throughout the day and a light lunch is provided for full day classes only.
All the skills learnt at any of the cake or chocolate classes are intended for your own personal use and under no circumstances should the class be replicated and taught to your own students.

Payment in full will be required at the time of booking. If you have any questions regarding any of the cake decorating or chocolate classes please do not hesitate to get in touch before booking. Please be aware that we will be unable to refund any classes once you have booked unless we have to cancel the class and if so, a full refund will be given.
One to One Tuition
The cost for this will be £500 per day (10am-5pm) or £250 per half day (10.30am-2pm)
In the unlikely event that Poppy Pickering has to cancel a class, a full refund will be offered and limited to the total amount of money you spent on the booking class with us.
Please double check dates, work commitments and travel arrangements before you make any booking. We cannot be held liable for any money spent, such as travel arrangements, hotel bookings, visas etc.
Once a class has been booked and paid for by yourself we are unable to offer any refunds should you decide to cancel or are unable to attend your class. We are also unable to transfer your space to another class should you wish to cancel. Full payment is either required in full when you book a class or a 50% deposit on the installment option classes (final 50% will be due 4 weeks before the class date). If an installment option class is cancelled before the final payment has been paid then the initial 50% payment will be forfeited.
Sugar Flower Bouquet (2 Days)

Beginners Ganache, Marzipan, Piping & Icing Class (1 Day)
This one day beginners basics is a super class for those wanting a introduction to cake decorating and how to learn creating those super sharp edges on a ganached and a marzipaned cake.
We will level and fill a 6" sponge cake, cover with white chocolate ganache using the amazing PROFROSTER tool and ganaching plates, then ice with sugar paste and create a sharp edged finish. In this beginners one day class, you will be shown how to make a modern rose, a garden rose, a anemone and a selection of wired leaves along with some filler flowers (time dependant). You will also look at dusting and taping. At the end of the day you will be able to take home your sugar flowers to arrange on a cake.

This half day (12:00 - 15:30) course is great for those who want the experience of working with chocolate. In this class you will be given an introduction to chocolate, temper chocolate, use ganache fillings, make moulded chocolates, make various shaped chocolates and lollipops.
